Grassroots studies:

The Department has facilitated / supported grassroots studies undertaken by students of L.N.Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research (WeSchool), Bangalore since 2012 and also by students of CMR University since 2016.

HAL Workforce Availability

In the  year 2016, the department undertook a comprehensive study on “Workforce Availability Analysis – for new HAL unit being setup at Bidrehallikaval, Gubbi Taluk.” along with extract of the Interview, a detailed report was published in Bangalore Mirror as a series on three consecutive days

Financial Wellness for Women

MBA Department in association with Life & Money, Mumbai organized a campaign on “Financial Wellness for Women” from 20th to 27th Jan 2016.

The Department conducted one day Green Deepavali Campaign in the campus on 9, Nov 2015.

Krishi Mela

The Department conducted a study on “35th Annual State Level Krishi Mela” organized by SKDRDP, Dharmasthala at Tiptur from 5- 7, Feb 2015.

Rural Electrification survey:

The Department undertook a study titled “A Study on Solar Photo Voltaic Based Rural Electrification – With Special Reference to Anupanahalli Village, Tumkur” in 2013. The outcome of the study was shared with concerned stakeholders.

Consumer Protection – Emerging Issues

MBA Department in association with IIPA, New Delhi and CREAT, Bangalore organized one day seminar on “Consumer Protection – Emerging Issues” in CIT campus on 10th May 2013. The guests / resource Persons for the event were

ELECTRICITY CONSUMER AWARENESS PROGRAM

MBA Department in association with Karnataka Electricity Governance Network [KEGN], Bangalore (a wing of CREAT, Bangalore) and BESCOM, Bangalore organized “Electricity Consumers Awareness Program” on Dec 2, 2013 (Monday) at Vigneshwara Comforts, Tumkur.  The basic objective of this program was to make consumers aware of their rights and responsibilities in the electricity sector.

National Energy Conservation Day

The Department of MBA, CIT, Gubbi celebrated National Energy Conservation Day on 14th Dec 2010 by organizing “Awareness Camp on Energy Conservation” in two schools i.e. Bhoomi Public School and Priya School located in Gubbi town. Many activities/competitions were conducted for the school children in both the schools and prizes were distributed for the winners.
