Youth Empowerement Cell-CIT

Working towards sustainable development requires a concerted, deliberate and timely effort if the challenges of our times are to be met. The greatest wealth and strength of any nation is its youth. The quality of its youth determines the kind of future, the nation will have. Therefore, if we want to ensure a bright future for our country, we first need to strengthen and empower our youth. If we harness this powerhouse of the nation in the right direction then the country can reach untold heights. The size of youth population is significant in the countries like India, where by 2020 India’s population is expected to become the world’s youngest. This is a huge challenge, not only for the government but also for the private sector and educational institutions to mould the youth, so that they adapt quickly to new technologies and new means of communication.

Youth could be transformed as a representative of change and economic development if their potentials are harnessed with timely intervention. Targeted youth empowerment programs are essential in the post-conflict situation but, more importantly; this could also be used as preventive measures. Youth tend to be interconnected and innovative, open-minded and are creative in problem-solving and finding solutions.

Hence, to unleash the hidden and unexplored potential of youth, a need was being felt to set up youth empowerment cell which can work like a catalyst to motivate and mentor the youth.

As an ongoing commitment from CIT towards students’ academic, Non-academic growth and Skill development, and to unleash the hidden and too often wasted potential of youth, CIT has taken up an initiative to establish “Youth Empowerment Cell” that can be a plat-form for the young minds to unleash their hidden potential and to showcase their talents all over the State/Country in terms of Academic and Non-Academic issues and to nurture these young buds into a sculpture.

Vision
To develop and nurture youth’s, not just to be responsible members of civil society, but also act as a catalyst in realizing progressive growth of the society.
Objectives

  •  To sensitize youth’s about Macro & Micro Forces and engage them in nation building activities.
