About – CIT PHC

(Primary Health Centre)

C.I.T PHC is the first contact point between the C.I.T FAMILY and the Medical Officer. The PHCs were envisaged to provide an integrated curative and preventive health care to the college and school population with emphasis on preventive and promotive aspects of health care. The PHCs are established and maintained by the C.I.T Management under the Minimum Needs Programme (MNP)/ Basic Minimum Services Programme (BMS). As per minimum requirement, a PHC is to be manned by a Medical Officer supported by 1 paramedical and other staff. It acts as a referral unit for the whole Campus. It has 2 beds for patients. The activities of PHC involve curative, preventive, promotive, and Family Welfare Services.

Total patient visits yearly with an average of 600 patients per year. All the database of visitors is managed well with a register book.

 Dr. Ayesha N Presented the talk about the Importance of Unani Medicine  and best practice of Unani medicines for the “Grass root exploration program by students of v school”  facilitated by the M.B.A Department dated on 11th Feb 2020 to 14th Feb 2020.

The ultimate goal of primary healthcare is the attainment of better health services for all. It is for this reason that the World Health Organization (WHO), has identified five key elements to achieving this goal: reducing exclusion and social disparities in health (universal coverage reforms).

Activities of PHC

Free Blood Pressure and Diabetes Screening:

C.I.T, PHC in association with Apollo Pharmacy, Gubbi Organized a Free Blood Pressure and Diabetes Screening camp at C.I.T, Campus Gubbi on 07.12.2022. 200 Teaching and Non Teaching faculties has taken the benefits during the camp .

In view of “Azadi Ka Amrith Mahotsav” as a commemoration of “75th Year of India’s Glorious Independence”, CIT IN ASSOCIATION WITH CIT-NSS UNIT together with CIT- PHC (Primary Health Centre) and Vasan Eye Care -Tumakuru- organized a Health Check-up and Eye Check-up camp on 13th August 2022 @ CIT Campus- Gubbi.

In view of the 75th Year of Independence- “Azadi ka Amrith Mahotsav-“CIT in association with CIT- NSS Unit-1 and 2, CIT -PHC, Youth Red Cross, Society, Tumkur Blood Bank, Sanjaeevini Blood Bank, and Government Hospital Gubbi. Organized Blood Donation Camp
