CENTRAL KARNATA DIVISION:
VTU has given the responsibility to conduct the VTU Kabaddi Men Inter-Collegiate Central Karnataka Division, State Level Championship & VTU Team Selection trails for the year 2022-22.
The Central Karnataka Division Kabaddi men tournament was held on 07th & 08th November 2022 at CIT Campus Gubbi. Total 17 teams of various Central Karnataka Division Engineering Colleges are participated in this tournament
The inaugural function was held on 7th November 2022 at 10.30 AM Sri G S Basavaraj Member of Parliament Tumkur & Chairman of the Society, Sri. G B Jyothi Ganesh–Secretary, & MLA Tumkur Dr. Suresh D S Director & Principal, CIT Group of Institution Dr. Shanthala C P vice Principal, CIT, Dr. Giridhar S Kulkarni Dean Admin & Mr. Jagadeesh G Physical Education Director, CIT were present in the Inaugural Function.
Final match was held between Malnad College of Engineering Hassan & Govt Engineering College, Moslehosalli Hassan the match won by Govt, Engineering College, Moslehosalli, Hassan
STATE LEVEL CHAMPIONSHIP
VTU state level tournament was held on 9th & 10th November 2022 in this tournament total 16 teams from all the 8 Division Winner & Runners teams are participated
The inaugural function was held on 9th November 2022 at 10.30 AM Dr. Shanthala C P vice Principal, CIT, Dr. Giridhar S Kulkarni Dean Admin & Mr. Jagadeesh G Physical Education Director, CIT were present in the Inaugural Function Dr. Shanthala C P vice Principal, CIT has address the students and wish the all team players and team managers.
Final match was held between Malnad College of Engineering Hassan & East West College of Engineering Bangalore. The East West College of Engineering Bangalore won the tournament and lift the champion trophy.
Result of the tournament
First Place: West College of Engineering Bangalore
Second Place: Malnad College of Engineering Hassan
Third Place: RNSIT, Bangalore
Fourth Place: BMSIT, Bangalore
VTU TEAM SELECTION TRAILS
VTU team selection trails was held on 10th November 2022 at 10AM total 98 students from all over Karnataka were taking part in to the selection trails and VTU has sent the 07 selection committee members to select the university team
College was given all the facility to participants like accommodation Food etc.. in a grand scale. Evening at 5.30 PM selection trails was ended with a Grand success
