Sri Channabasaveshwara Swamy Rural Education Society (CREDS) was founded in 2000 with a clear vision — to provide education of international standards that caters to the needs of the surrounding rural populace.
The CIT campus is housed in a sprawling area adjoining the National Highway 206 (B.H. Road), Tumkur near Bangalore — one of the major centers for Engineering and Medical Studies in Karnataka.
